The Research and Development SI is a product of new institutional policies in the National System of Research, Development, and Application of Science and Technology that functions to foster the ability to advance science and technology and are responsible for finding various inventions in the fields of science and technology and exploring their potential utilization.
In the R & D activities there are several stages of assessment which include Social and Government, Economics and Development, and Innovation and Public Services.1.
SOCIAL AND GOVERNMENT    Social and Government Studies, including studies on Poverty Alleviation, Handling Unemployment, Health, Education, Youth and Sports, Population Control, Family Planning, Womens Empowerment and Child Protection, Social, Labor, Transmigration and Civil Registration, Peace and Public Order , Community Protection, Formulation of Village Government Public Policy and General and Civil Service Administration.2.
ECONOMY AND DEVELOPMENT    The Economic and Development Study covers the study of Economic Development in the Agriculture, Tourism, Trade, Industry, Cooperatives and Regional Investment sectors.
In addition, studies in the field of Development include Infrastructure and Regional Development which covers matters of Public Works and Spatial Planning, Housing and Settlement, Environment, Disaster Management, Communication and Information, and Transportation.3.
